They are setting up shop in what seems to be just about every major train station in New York. Why, because they are soul hunting, and they want to get the people to come into their “Kingdom Hall”.
What I am not seeing is any Christians stopping to dialogue with them. As usual, Christians are either too busy or more likely they feel too uninformed to engage these witness of the Watchtower. And by our failure to engage them, they are left to fish for souls that they will deceived.
They are showing up more and more at just about every subway, bus station and mall in the community, with their professional book stands filled with their magazines and books.
They have clearly regrouped from the thrashing they have received in the past form Christian apologetic and counter cult ministries that have efficiently exposed their false teaching and their child and adult member abuse.
After a half-century of being headquartered at 25-30 Columbia Heights in Brooklyn which they have owned since 1969, it was announced back in August of 2016 that they have sold their property for a reported $340.00 million, and were moving to their newly built headquarters in Warwick, N.Y. For some time they have been liquidating their massive collection of property in the Brooklyn area in preparation for this major move.
There is no way to pull out of the Watchtower’s top brass, what the real reason for their exit out of Brooklyn was, but their Brooklyn headquarters had been the target of numerous demonstrations by Ex-Watchtower witness and counter cult Christian ministries over the years. And with the bad publicity they suffered from child molestation and abuse cases that were very public, and the many legal cases lost, that coupled with the mass exit of former Witnesses due to Christian testimony about their many false doctrines and false prophecies, these may well have played a significant role in their departure.
But none of those things has stopped the extremely wealthy and evangelistically aggressive cult organization, they have apparently mounted a sophisticated agenda for winning new souls to replace the many that left. And it is tragic that from what I have seen, at least in the Freeport, and Brooklyn area that I have seen them in, there is no Christian opposition of any kind.
Many times when I have seen them talking to an unsuspecting victim, and I had the time, I have stood by to hear what they were being told and then I would ask the Witness questions in front of their victims that they could not answer or that they would answer incorrectly, at which time I would proceed to correct them. After doing this a few times, the victim realizes that they are being lied to and they move on after graciously accepting my contact information should they desire more information about the Bible. By this time, the Witness are clearly upset and proceeds to pack up and leave, claiming that they had to go for another appointment. No doubt, just an excuse to move to another location where there are no Christians who understand their false teaching to interfere with their soul fishing.
Naturally, that is a rare thing and the Witness are monopolizing on the evangelism in our cities in a way that we Christians should be doing.
How did they get the permission to set up shop at train and bus stations? They no doubt applied for it through the city by going through proper channels, and we should too. It is also possible that they have their own political lobbyist and with their massive budget, they may have even paid off a few politicians to make sure they are left alone to soul fish.
And now they seem to be everywhere, including malls and shopping centers.
Our Churches should have training to teach Christians how to witness to Watchtower witness and get out and give them some real competition. If they run from me, they will run from any well informed Christian who knows their Bible. And the seeds that we plant will be watered by the next informed Christian that they run into, and eventually, they will turn from their dedication to the Watchtower to serve the true and living God.
There are many great books already on the Christian market that fully exposes the Watchtower. If you contact me I will be happy to recommend a few.
We as a church must not abandon the watchtower witness, they are souls as well and they need to hear the REAL truth, and we should be ready to share it with them.
